ABOUT THE EVENT
We are thrilled to present a super exclusive jazz event featuring Japanese jazz guitar legend Satoshi Inoue at Yellow Lane! This special performance marks Satoshi Inoue’s second visit to Thailand, following his workshop event at RSU. The evening will feature Inoue performing jazz standards with his quartet, including Nattapon on tenor sax, Titiwat on bass, and Preedipat on drums. The event will also include a special talk session, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the artist. Experience exceptional music in a special community setting—come and enjoy this remarkable evening!
Satoshi Inoue (井上智, Inoue Satoshi), born November 12, 1956, in Kobe, Japan, is a renowned jazz guitarist praised by Jim Hall as "an excellent jazz guitarist with a keen musical imagination." Inoue studied at Kyoto's Fuji School of Music from 1979 to 1981 and led his own groups in Japan until 1988. He moved to New York City in 1989 to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where he met Hall. Since then, he has been a faculty member at the university and performed with Hall on his instructional video series Jazz Guitar Master Class Volumes 1 & 2. Inoue and Hall also appeared together for the Village Vanguard’s 70th anniversary celebration in 2005.
