YOGETSU AKASAKA: LIVE SESSION

Born in Tokyo and inspired by his father's footsteps, Yogetsu began his musical career as a busker on the streets of London, Sydney, and NYC in 2005. In 2015, he became a Zen Buddhist Monk to deepen his spiritual growth, and after practicing at the Soto Zen Buddhism Monastery in Japan, he returned to Tokyo to combine his Buddhist wisdom with his musical talent.

During the pandemic, Yogetsu's healing sound went viral, with 11+ million views and 200k+ followers. His music has been described as medicine for mental health, and his unique approach to music has been featured in Vice Magazine. Yogetsu has been named an Official Selected Artist at SXSW 2023.
