People of Ari hosted VVAS at Yellow Lane on 27 July 2022. The band formed in 2014 as Wave and So. Now called VVAS, the current members are Oat, Zo, and Shin. So far they have released one album with multiple singles under Parinam Music, Bangkok.
VVAS drew elements from different genres over the years, however the surf rock influence is prominent. Recently in 2022 they decided to entirely shift their sounds to a more post-punk nature. “It’s within the process of growing up. People change and our interests change,” said guitarist Shin.
The band members share not only their passion for music but also for visual art. All three of them work as graphic designers, so naturally they design their own cover arts.
